Subchapters, otherwise known as short stories, are stories that expand upon the events and situations of the books in the Everwind Series. Each subchapter expands upon the previous one, working backwards in time; the Everwind books all work forward through time. For example, The Facility, Subchapter One, covers a period of time exactly one day before the events of Outrider, which is book one. Legion of Liberty, Subchapter Two, describes events that took place leading up to those in The Facility.
